Dear Bob,

　　 I am very glad to receive your letter which arrived yesterday, and I'd like to tell you something about the SARS.

　　 Never shall I forget the spring of 2003 when the unprecedented SARS was rampant in Beijing as well as the whole country. As can be seen everywhere, schools had to be closed temporarily for the safety of students and teachers as well. Owing to the above, we students had to stop schooling and stayed at home. Instead of idling, we kept on learning over TV and radio. Besides, the Net School of our own played a great role in that period. To people's surprise, the SARS has aroused people's awareness of health. Having more free time, the city residents now are actively taking part in physical exercise. More importantly, people are paying more attention to the environmental protection. The vicious SARS at long last has been brought under control. Having returned to the school, I feel it great to see both my teachers and fellow students and thereafter continue my school life. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Beijing.
