Student A: Imagine this is your first day at the college. Everything is new to you. Student B is a second year student from your department. Ask him/her some information about his/her major, the dormitory, the dining hall, the teaching buildings and activities on the campus.
Student B: Imagine you are helping teachers receive the freshmen. Student A wants to know something about the college. Try your best to help him/her.
Unit 2 How do you spend your day?
Two students meet on campus. They are talking about their different daily schedules.
Student A is a freshman in college, and college is very expensive, so he works in a fast food shop for five hours every weekday to earn some money.
Student B is a senior in college. He is busier this semester, and he should prepare his term paper. From last year he has not got any allowance from his parents anymore so he needs a flexible job or an evening job.
Unit 3 How much is it?
Imagine you are a clerk working for a department store. Your partner is your customer. He or she is quite satisfied with the quality of the jacket, but not with the price. You two finally reach the agreement by reducing the price by 20 percent.
Student A: You are a clerk working for a department store. Answer the customer's questions and try to persuade him or her to buy your items.
Student B: You are a customer. You are quite satisfied with the quality of the jacket, but it's too expensive. Try to bargain with the clerk over the price.
