It is reported that English will be deletedin college entrance exam subject in the near future,which arouses a greatconcern and heated discussion in society.Some people think that it will benefitstudents,because it will lessen students’ burden.Other people,however,holdthe opposite view,they think that it will bring about negative effect onEnglish teaching under the background of globalization where English isbecoming more and more important.
As far as I am concerned,I think every coinhas two sides.We can’t say which opinion is right or wrong,but we must makedifferent analysis as to different situation.So my suggestion is that we canmake English subject a optional course.On the one hand,for those who areinterested in English,they can choose to learn in primary school.they can beexposed to English from child time and they will learn better.On the otherhand,if some students are not interested in it,other course can be chosen tolearn.Only in this way can we have more enthusiasm in English.
