Though it's a good thing to have some travel or part-time jobs before entering university, you should also keep two things in mind: one is safety -- if you get hurt in travels or work, the whole thing could turn into a tragedy and you won't be able to start your univeristy education as scheduled; the other is self-restraint -- you must not exhaust yourself through travel or work, so you can keep yourself in a good shape and start your new campus life with sufficient energy and a clear focus on your study.
