我投了一篇英文文章,但是给的修改时间很短,我还没改好,故想给编辑写封信申请再给几天时间,希望英语地道一点.还有就是我email的标题怎么叫,“a request of 文章标号”可以吗?

Thank you very much for your work for ACTA-A-08-0108.I am afraid that I will not be able to submit my revised manuscript on time.According to the comments,futher experiments are needed to do by rotating disc electrode (RDE).At present,the experiment results are satisfactory.But,more time is needed to complete all the experiments and perfect the paper.Could you understand my delay?I will try to submit my complete revised manuscript as soon as possible.

你的email写的挺好的了,稍改一下：
