Money for postgraduate research is limited.Therefore,some people think financial support from the government should only be provided for scientific research by postgraduate students rather than their research on less useful subjects.Do you agree or disagree.
The government always provides funds for postgraduate research,which is known to be limited.It is certainly a hard work for people to make good use of this limited money.Some people hold the view that those funds should only be used to do research about science instead of less helpful ones.In this easy,I found myself in disagreement with the view mentioned and reasons will be given for thinking this.
As far as I concern,there is no such a clear line to distinguish between the more useful and the less useful.Before the result of the research no one will be sure that whether it is useful or not.However,one thing can be certain that doing the research will get fresh experience,which is helpful for us to do better than before.For example,failure is the basement of success.Before a new invention is invented,lots of tests have been done as well as the research.Without those less useful processes,the final success will never take place.
What’s more,not all the scientific research are more useful than other research.Except for creating new things,modifying present things is also important for scientists to do.In fact,collecting data,doing questionnaire,some of which are regarded as less useful activities play an integral role in the entire research.Some text books are continuously printed and modified in order to suit for current students.Before modifying there are lots of work for publishers to do,this is rarely known by majority of people.This can be the perfect example for the case.
All in all,money should be assigned in the right place,whatever scientific research or so called less useful research are all important in most times.
