Basically the novels of Jane-Austen are all about such little things as the normal household lives with several families and marriage,so many Chinese readers don't quite understand why she has such a high reputation in west. But the depth of the spirit of a novel and the special attraction of its art and ideology don't lie in and are limited to the seriousness and range of its subject. Some people regard Austen's works as the olive which brings more flavor as you chew it.It's not only because her excellent wording which makes creative contribution to the development of novel art but also because her brisk narrative which actually is not that plain and transparent.Just like Mrs Smith said:"Women writers always try to correct the existing value order so as to change people's view on what's important and what's not.Maybe Austen's novels teach us how to change our views and angles to clearly realize the issues involved in the narrative of "little things" are not minor.
