My six-year-old granddaughter Caitlynd discovered a small freckle （斑点）on her left arm. She didn’t like it and tried to pick it off.

I told her “Oh dear that’s a beautiful mark. Don’t pick it off.” She took another look at it. “It’s not a beauty mark. I want it off ” she said with tears （眼泪）.

“Each of us is born with special marks. Some of them can be seen and some of them are invisible （看不见的）.”

“What kind of mark is invisible?” she asks.

“Why can’t mine all the invisible?” she asked.

She didn’t understand my words completely but she stopped crying. The next morning Caithynd ran into the kitchen. She jumped into my husband’s lap. “I have a beauty mark. Want to see it?”

“I sure do ” my husband laughed.

“I didn’t like it yesterday but now I do ” she said.
