动词现在分词可以作后置状语修饰名词的,比如：The boy sleeping in the bed is my brother.
当然也可以用从句：The boy who is sleeping in the bed is my brother.
好像现在分词作后置状语是从句的省略（?）,不过具体怎样记不清了.不过的确可以这么用.
