Analysis of usage of waterfront in residential landscape design
Abstract
Chinese traditional garden has some design principle saying that "park with rock garden, no water no scene". Water, being very vivid landscape in nature, which has a very important position ever since garden design. Water is a symbol of vitality and wealth , no matter where you are, water is always a beautiful landscape. In today 's, skyscrapers amouts in city, water is becoming luxury and glittering exist , so it is respected by all kinds of people , and is widely used in the design of residential district. This phenomenon & trend is , not only benefiting the surrounding residents , but also decorating for the entire city. But cons with pros, this paper, via the referred artistry,symbiosis and scientific rationality of waterfront in modern city and people, try to show the deep analysis of the process during converting from natural phenomenon to human phenomena. As well as several major problems in the modern city residential waterfront and present author's views on these issues.
