尔时﹐世尊欲重宣此义﹐而说颂曰：
『 阿陀那识甚深细﹐ 一切种子如暴流﹐ 我於凡愚不开演﹐ 恐彼分别执为我。』
Then the World-honored One recited these verses to emphasize his meaning:
“The appropriating consciousness is deep and subtle;
All seeds are like rushing torrents.
Among the mortals and unenlightened I have not spoken and revealed, for fear that they will be attached to the cognition of distinguishing and clinging on to the existence of me and self.”

尔时世尊欲重宣此义.而说颂曰.
阿陀那识甚深细.
一切种子如暴流.
我於凡愚不开演.
恐彼分别执为我.
Bhagava declared the ode(颂歌)/eulogium(颂文) as the following to emphasize on such principle by then(=at that moment).
Alaya(梵语“阿托那识”，为“阿赖耶识”别称，=Dharana，梵语“执持”) could be described(原文is过于主观) as profound(深厚的) and subtle.
As kinds of seeds manifest as running(rushing略隐晦，running更通俗) water.
Without Dharma teaching(开示，开演) to those benighted and ordinary(未悟之众生，或译为：Without Dharma teaching to those mortal beings then),
I'm afraid they'll be obsessed with(沉溺于、执着于) Ahamtattva(梵语“我执”，通俗说法：egocentrism，唯我至上、自我为中心)——末偈还可译为I'm afraid they might pursue for Ahamtattva regardlessly.
注：
1.颂偈亦七言诗，故英译对等，4句皆8词，且上下2组尽量尾韵一致
2.遵上条，对末句“分别执为我”化译处理，“分别”与“我执”相反相成，故仅按“我执”之梵语翻译
