Nowadays,the society is more competitive than before,so people may put more effort in order to succeed.As a result,many people think that it is easier to succeed in the past.However,I don't agree with it.I think it is easier to be successful today,because people have more opportunities from the modern society.
At first,people have more opportunities to get education.Though there are still many children who can't go to school,especially in some poor districts,most of countries provide compulsory and free elementary education for children.More and more students can continue their study as they want,so they can enter high schools and even universities.Without doubt,education is very important for people to be successful.Nevertheless,older generations are not as lucky as we are.On the one hand,there was much less schools in the past.Not everyone could go to school,let alone going to universities.On the other hand,many families couldn't afford their children to go to school.Because of this,many children may have to give up.Once they lost their chances for education,they also had less chance to be successfully,
Secondly,nowadays,it is much more easier for people to get all kinds of resources.People can borrow books from libraries,or search information from the internet.They won't be worried about their information anymore.Especially with the rapid development of the internet,people could get huge amount of information on the internet,including from academic paper to a small joke.But in the past,people may be not able to get what they want even after they traveled a lot and spent a lot of time.Information is very important to people who want to be successful.In modern society,they have opportunities to get more information using less time.
At last,more people want to be successful.Because of the cruel competition,more people become competitive and would like to succeed.They work hard and make great effort.Consequently,they get their achievement.Look back to the history of last one hundred years,or fifty years,the human being has made great progress on civilization.What they did in this short period of time is even more than what they did in the whole history of human being before.During this process,of course,many people get their success.Every year,how many people start their own business successfully?How many people get their awards from different organization?How many people get their academic degree?It has been suggested that it is easier to be successful in modern society.
In a word,people get more opportunities from the society,therefore,they can be successful easily.
