Groundless beliefs 读后感
Living in this information society,people`s point of view affected in many aspect.Some view comes from their parents or teachers,some view comes from experience and lessons,some views comes from hearsay.This article mainly analysis five factor of why people take shape of groundless beliefs:
environment parroting self-interset sentimental association fashion
Firstly,environment.Just like people always say “Who stays near vermilion gets stained red,and who stays near ink gets stained black one”,that was say that people easily affected by the environment.Just like the article says “If an English baby had been adopted and brought up in a German home,and had grown up with no knowledge that his parents were English,all the sentiments and beliefs of that person would be ‘German’ and not ‘English’ ”.That why there is a story of Mencius' mother moves her home three times to better her son 's education.
Secondly,parroting.Just like people always said” Three people spreading reports of a tiger make you believe there is one around”.People believing in some though just because everybody said so.
Thirdly,self-interest.People do thing for reason.The most important reason is self-interest.People usually choose to accept some point of view that match their self-interest.
Fourly,sentimental association.In our childhood,most of our though comes from our parents or any other our relative.“Mum is always right.She knows so much.” You can always s find an unfailing belief in a child.As most children do,I didn`t question my parents` words.
Last but not least,fashion.People love chase fashion.But under the normal circumstances,people can`t accept a new thing shows up in sudden way.Unless more and more people accept it ,talk about it,that new thing can become a fashion.
In conclusion,groundless beliefs can influence the decide of people.we should see the truth of thing,don`t let that old school thing influence our mind.
