The 9 ^th China International Garden Expo is opening soon. We are very excited because it will be held in Fengtai District, the place where we live and study. All of my classmates agree that we should do something for it. So last Sunday morning we came to some busy streets and sent to the passersby colorful brochures introducing the Expo. Then we went to the spot where free car stickers were handed out. We helped the drivers put the stickers on their cars, hoping the concept of green lifestyle will spread as those cars run around the city.
In the afternoon, we came to the Garden Expo park to plant trees. Some of us dug holes. Some planted young trees and others watered them. Seeing the lines of trees, we had a wonderful sense of achievement. When walking around the park, we were attracted by its beauty and some of us couldn’t help taking part in a contest, drawing the Garden Expo in their minds.
It was a busy and tiring day, but all of us felt really happy and proud to make our contributions to the Garden Expo.
