grounds(注意要用复数)是指一种说法、一种信仰、或一个动作的事实或逻辑根据.
reason是一个动作、决定、或信仰的依据或动机.
两者的不同很微妙,不注意很容易搞混.给你几个例子看你能不能感觉出不同：

2. This is the single most important reason for believing in God.
3. There are substantial grounds to believe that a crime has been committed.
