这个故事讲的是一只小白兔看见乌龟缓慢的动作，不禁骄傲起来，想要与乌龟来一次赛跑。骄傲的小白兔并不把与乌龟的这场比赛放在眼里，而把这场比赛当作消遣，好好奚落乌龟一番。小白兔在比赛时睡着了，乌龟坚持不懈，始终如一的勤奋努力，终于超过小白兔，抵达终点。这个故事的寓意是只有坚持不懈，始终如一的勤奋努力，才能抵达胜利的终点。
