I understand that the awarding ceremony was a major magnificent event. I am very sorry that I could not be there, but at this point I am unable to make such a long flying trip; and in addition, since I had only about one week to make arrangement, I would not have been able to get a visa quickly.

我明白这个颁状典礼是一项重要的盛事.不过很抱歉,我不能出席,因为我现时实在不能进行这种长途飞行的旅程；而且,我只有大约一个星期去准备一切,根本没法那麼快拿到签证.
