“Hey,Zhang!Haven’t you watched The Big Bang Theory?How interesting the latest episode is!Sheldon made others annoyed again,Aha!Ming entered the room with a PDA.Oh god,I’m sure I can’t understand what he said.Recently,A lot of my friends are crazy about American TV dramas.They are fond of the pretty actors and their excellent acting.They also think watching American TV dramas can help them enhance their language serve.Out of curiosity,I try to watch an American TV drama.There is little doubt that the TV dramas are really fascinating .The grate story can catch the eye easily.It seems that watch them can help us practice our listening skills.But I find some problems.For example,there are a lot of differences between the lines and the English grammar.We had a debate about whether we should watch American TV dramas.
To Ming’s understanding,he feels that watching American TV dramas is good to us.Plenty of TV dramas are creative and fancy.He thinks that we can learn a large number of knowledge and useful skills from these TV dramas and they can broaden our horizons.Besides,they can practice our listening skills as well.To his mind,he thinks that it is not only a hobby but also an exercise.
As far as I am concerned,Wonderful as it is,however,it has its own disadvantages.There is no denying that watching it has crowd of advantages.I don’t feel that watching too much American TV dramas is useful for us to improve our English.A great deal of young people are crazy about them,they watch them on the computer,the PDA,even the mobile phone.It does harm to our eyes and it might influence our life and study.What’s more,a lot of lines are different from our daily English,So I believe that it’s no use watching American TV dramas.
As a popular saying goes,every coin has too sides.Everyone holds his own idea.To be frank,in my mind watching American TV dramas isn’t a good way to improve our English.It is certain that we can find better way to learn English.
