Ever since human's civilization has made its giant stride during modern time, everybody, especially the young, now enjoys a health condition much better than before, Yet, there is still one "killer" that roams free --- accidental death.
On average, 40 students lose their young life due to sitotoxism, drowning and traffic accidents every day in China. The worse is, as accidents in mounting numbers threaten people's health, quite many teenagers konw little, if any, about some basic first-aid skills. Such being the case, drastic measures are an imperative. For one thing, the authority should fork out a larger share of fund to education to cultivate the younger generation's awareness of emergencies and accidents ,self-protection and the basic knowledge of first-aid skills. For another, public services should be enhanced with a more convenient access to first-aid kit.
As a senior high school student myself, I will try my best to make a humble contribution to reverse this disturbing trend.
