Elizabeth period is also known as the 19th century.Which is the romantic period according to history.It has been influenced by the frencd revolution and the philosophies of jean-jacques rousseau.Their theater production and poems is characterised by:
-a childlike or primitive view of the world
-great emphasis on the workings of the unconcious mind
-dreams and reveries
-everyday diction
-a preoccupation with man's link with nature which enabled man to come to an understanding of him own soul.
