Let's start with two question:DO you think you could regularly read four books a day and tet the main points?Have you read a newspaper this week?
If you answered the first the question no,and the second yes -think again ,if you read a daily newspaper in any major city ,you've read the equivalent of at least four books.
And how do you read a newspaper?You read only those things you are interested in .And how do you know Becouse newspapers are divided into sections ,you only read the sports pages if you're interested in sports ,the business pages for business .But even then you don't read and make it easy for you to choose .Besides ,the writing style of newspapers also makes it to understand the main points.After each headline,you will generally find them summarized in the first paragraph.so you can either read the summary or devour the wholoe story.
very simply ,you've know how to skim a newspaper every day .so you already know how to skim four books or anything else in print .The same principle applies to all nonfiction reading .
